Sawpit to cause a Valley storm in Star Sports Welsh Derby final

SAWPIT SIGNATURE looks the value against worthy favourite Face The Storm in the £5,000 final of the Star Sports Welsh Derby over 460m at Valley (9.24).
Trained by Dave Hunt, the selection has really had to battle to make this stage whereas, after a thrilling last-to-first heat win, Face The Storm demolished his semi rivals by leading and setting a new track record.
However, he now has to contend with a draw outside the other semi winner Fastlane George with a strong chance the pair will do each other no favours thus potentially leaving the way clear for something to slip away inside them.
That could well be Sawpit Signature who is an all-rounder not lacking in early pace and he looks the call at the prices with well-drawn Simpson Sniper mentioned in despatches.
Trap three can also provide the winner of the other main Valley feature, the £1,000 Malcolm Tams Memorial Trophy final at 9.06, which commemorates the late former track owner.
Tony Morgan's Determined Orla wears the white jacket in this and can make all at the chief expense of fastest heat winner Devista.
Carrick Scholsey can ensure trainer Mike Burton is on the scoresheet whatever the later fate of Face The Storm by landing a 645m contest at 8.32.
