Drumnafern can open his Lifford account in his A4 comfort zone

Drumnafern can open his Lifford account in his A4 comfort zone

DRUMNAFERN OREY ran his best race at the track to date when beaten a neck last time and looks good to go one better in Lifford's A4 over 525 yards at 4.18.

Eugene Skeffington's dog started his career with back-to-back Dundalk victories in May and was a respectable second first time up here before a couple of lesser outings.

However, the drop to A4 company seven days ago seemed to find him in his comfort zone and a similar level of performance to that may well suffice.

Other Lifford fancies are Eddie Hurson's Divil The Hayte (3.59) and Paul Whyte's Hollywell Toffee (4.56).

There is also a later Sunday Irish meeting at Clonmel where the featured Home Of The Produce Stakes Open 525 at 7.58 can go to Maurice Organ's Petshop Farewell with other fancies being Derek Kehoe's Slaneyside Layla (7.04) and Declan Drohan's Wilderness Freya (9.09)

First track under way is Valley where Donna Davy's versatile veteran Droopys Nijinsky, who has wins over two, four and six bends, can land a D3 sprint at 1.12.

There is also early action at Doncaster where Sue Watson's Put Things Right looks set for a B1 hat-trick at 12.46.
