Raven storms in at Star Pelaw to open trainer Miller's win account
TODDYS RAVEN landed a gamble from 2/1 into 5/4 to register a first victory as a trainer for new on-site Star Pelaw handler Ross Miller in an A3 at the track on Thursday.
The result was never in doubt after the former Perry Barr open-race winner made a fast start from the inside berth and she quickly went well clear, ultimately scoring by almost seven lengths in 25.65sec (+10).
Toddys Raven (T1) was an easy winner to open Ross Miller's account as a trainer
Miller said afterwards: "She's ran a blinder. I got her for nothing from Tom Heilbron and I put her in with Glenn [Foot] while I was waiting on the kennels.
"He did a good job with her and she came in beautiful condition - I've just improved her that little bit!"
Star Pelaw RM Dave Gray spoke to trainer Ross Miller after the win
Miller is starting off with around 20 greyhounds and will increase that number over the coming months.
